Krutika Desai Khan, who sometimes also spells her name as Kruttika Desai, is the daughter of noted Stage personalty Late Shri Girish Desai. She is a popular Indian Film , Theater & Television actress. Krutika is married to Imtiaz Khan, the son of renowned Hindi film actor of the yester years, Jayant and the brother of the late actor Amjad Khan. Imtiaz himself is an accomplished actor and director of the Hindi film & television scene.

She acted in Insaaf (1987) a Hindi film directed by Mukul Anand with co stars including Vinod Khanna, Dimple Kapadia, Suresh Oberoi, Dalip Tahil, Shakti Kapoor, Shammi, Madan Joshi and Vikram Gokhale.
She has also acted in the 2001 National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC) produced film titled "Dattak" directed by Gul Bahar Singh and written by Partha Banerjee & Subbir Mukherjee with Rajit Kapoor, Anjan Srivastav & A.K. Hangal as her co-stars.
She acted in a 1985 Tele Film Apna Jahan, which was written and directed by Subroto Bose and had Benjamin Gilani, Arti Gupta, Vijay Kashyap, Alok Nath, Deepti Naval & Naseeruddin Shah co-starring with her .
In 2004 she acted in a Hebrew film titled "Sof Ha'Olam Smola " AKA "Au bout du monde à gauche" (French) and "Turn Left at the End of the World" (International: English title), this film directed by Avi Nesher and written by Sara Eden & Avi Nesher won the Awards of the Israeli Film Academy in the categories Best Art Direction for Yoram Shayer and Best Costume Design for Rona Doron and got four other nominations Best Actress / Neta Garty, Best Cinematography / David Gurfinkel, Best Sound / Eli Yarkoni and Best Supporting Actress / Liraz Charchi . Her co stars in the film were Neta Garty, Liraz Charchi, Aure Atika, Jean Benguigui, Parmeet Sethi, Ruby Porat Shoval, Rotem Abuhab, Israel Katorza, Nadav Abuksis, Mariano Idelman, Nati Ravitz, Michael Morim (as Micha Morim), Efrat Aviv & Evelin Hagoel.

She is involved in "Akansha[1]" , a theater workshop for street children and has also acted in a number of Gujarati plays including Shodh Pratishodh[2]" which won rave reviews and accolades from the masses as well as the classes and was performed 125 times in four months, a record of sorts.

In the popular Balaji Telefilms soap "Kkusum", she portrayed Devanshi and in another popular Sony TV's soap Ye Meri Life Hai, she played the role of the mother of Ronit Gujral. She played stepmother-in-law to lead Srijita De in "Annu Ki Ho Gayee Waah Bhai Waah" and Pari's first mother-in-law Kamya Parasher in "Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki" on Sahara One. She also acted in the Epic Noorjehan directed by her husband Imtiaz Khan for Cinevistaas.She has also acted in Sony TV's C.I.D
At the same time she also played the very unconventional & complex role of Roopali Roopchand in 'Lipstick', the daringly different show conceived with the intent of shocking middle class sensibilities and presenting an unadulterated view of the upper class on late night television which examined various issues like homosexuality and extramarital relationships.
It is reported that she will be partnering Chhavi Mittal , her reel life bahu in "Tumhari Disha" to participate in Sahara One's dance based reality show ‘Saas v/s Bahu’.
